Our Mission Statement

The Australian Sex Party is a political response to the sexual needs of Australia in the 21st century. It is an attempt to restore the balance between sexual privacy and sexual publicity that has been severely distorted by morals campaigners and prudish politicians.

Let's talk about sex, baby...

We want to bring about the development of a national sex education curriculum as a first step in preventing the sexualisation of children, and also develop a national internet education scheme for parents. For more information on our sex education policies click here

No more excuses & cover ups!

We must convene a Royal Commission into child sex abuse in the nation’s religious institutions and develop global approaches to tackling child pornography, which focus on detection and apprehension of the producers of the material. For more information on our child protection policies click here

What do you mean we lost the war on drugs??!!

Decriminalisation, not legalisation, of purchase, possession and consumption of all drugs for personal use. Infractions are to be treated in an administrative framework and not in the criminal justice system. For more information on our drugs policies click here

Drug Law Reform Benefitting Sex Party: Vic Police form ‘Bong Squad’

While the Australia 21 report has finally concluded that the war on drugs has proved futile, the Sex Party’s rising vote has been directly linked to its policies around drug law reform – according to it’s President, Fiona Patten. After preferences were distributed following the Niddrie (Vic) by election last week, the Sex Party achieved almost 10% of the vote. “We are the only party to campaign for the decriminalisation of all drugs”, she said.

We have a right to know when God is in the House

The Parliamentary Christian Fellowship is a non-party political group of strongly Christian MPs in the federal parliament, who meet unofficially to discuss politics, parliamentary life and faith. Way back in 2004, the convener, Bruce Baird, put its membership at 60 out of a total number of 226 federal MPs. However, one of his religious colleagues (who did not want to be named) said the figure was more like 75.

She's got a great political pedigree and is closely related to that great worker's and women's champ of yesteryear - Jesse Street. She was good mates with Don Chipp and she was once on trial for Contempt of Parliament for threatening to 'out' hypocritical National Party politicians. So she's not afraid to take the party's issues up to the big boys...
