A LINGERIE company owner, who has lived on the North Shore for more than 20 years, will take on the major parties in Bennelong electorate at the August 21 Federal Election.

The Australian Sex Party’s Sue Raye, of Cammeray, is contesting her first election.

The party advocates ``tolerance of sexual free speech and sexual expression’‘.

Ms Raye, of online shop Purr-fect Lingerie, knows she won’t win the seat, but she hopes to poll 4per cent or more of the vote.

``They are prone to vote Liberal on that side of the electorate (Chatswood West) so we will just have to wait and see what will happen on the day,’’ she said.

``This is the first time I am standing for the Sex Party and I’ll be doing my best to get as many votes as I can.’‘

Ms Raye said she would like to see the overturning of mandatory internet filtering and returning censorship to parents and individuals.

``I just don’t want to go down that path of censorship,’’ she said.

``If it goes ahead it will be a waste of money and people will get around it. Internet filtering won’t make a difference as most child pornography is passed around in underground networks.’’
