LOVE was in the air at the Sex Party's equal love celebration on the lawns of Parliament House over the weekend.
The event was organised by Sex Party candidate Serenna Shutt as part of a nationwide demonstration against the Federal Government's ban on same-sex marriage.
About 100 passionate Territorians - gay, straight, bi, trans or just curious - gathered to celebrate the queer community in Darwin and rally for gay marriage, because "it's about love not gender".

"Gay communities deserve the right to marry - to publicly celebrate their love with family and friends, and to have all the rights and laws upheld around this issue," the 29-year-old Senate candidate said. It was not only about talking.
There were performing artists, music, an open forum and at the end of her speech Ms Shutt urged her audience to show her some lovin'.
The crowd started to hug and kiss each other - proving Territorians are not as prudish as the rest of Australia thinks.
Sex Party supporter Rita Metzenrath came from Canberra for a kiss from the event organiser.
"It is amazing to see so many people coming out and showing their support for same-sex marriage," the 45-year old librarian said.
