With anti pornography campaigns sweeping the country and groups like Kids Free 2B Kids starting up to justify banning adult material in the name of children's 'safety', its worth reflecting on where this style of campaigning first originated. This 1965 propaganda film was made in the same style as the anti marijuana films before it and has the stamp of J Edgar Hoover and Billy Graham all over it. Produced by the Citizens for Decent Literature it rallies against pornography, gay and lesbian lifestyles, nudism and even fashion as corrupting influences on young kids. The message hasn't changed much in 40 years but the protagonists sure have.
